As the Vice President of Facilities Services, led the centralization of all Advocate Health Care’s facilities operations. Beginning in 2010, York has aligned best practices, standardized CMMS system, reduced contracted services and reduced energy consumption throughout Advocate’s portfolio of 12 hospital campuses and over 300 free standing sites of care. Actual documented costs savings to Advocate of more than $127 million. He implemented Zone Maintenance across all of Advocate. Looked upon as best practice for increasing patient, associate and customer satisfaction while reducing response times and operating costs, hosted numerous Summer Interns through ASHE, providing encouragement to college students to enter the healthcare facilities professions. In fact, several of York’s interns are currently working in leadership positions in healthcare facilities management throughout the country.
York received the 2017 ³¯Ñô³Ô¹ÏPresident’s Award and his passion for the health care facility management field and tireless pursuit to share his knowledge with others has made ³¯Ñô³Ô¹Ïproud to name him the 2019 Crystal Eagle Leadership Award recipient
