Performing 100% of manufacturer’s recommended maintenance on utility systems and medical equipment is challenging. Very few healthcare organizations have the resources to sustain preventive maintenance as prescribed by manufacturers. So now is the time to implement a documented alternative equipment maintenance (AEM) program and prioritize the allocation of precious maintenance staff and resources.
