The U.S. health care sector contributes 8.5% of national and 25% of global health care emissions. As global efforts to reduce emissions intensify, the spotlight on the U.S. health care sector grows. <a href="/sustainability" title="Sustainability Roadmap for Health Care | Supporting Your Sustainability Journey">Environmental sustainability</a> and -->decarbonization are now integral to the health care mission of healing and promoting well-being. There is a community-wide expectation to reduce emissions and protect the health of patients, employees, and communities. However, financing sustainability projects remains a significant challenge.</p><p>In August 2022, the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was enacted, offering tax incentives and funding mechanisms typically unavailable to tax-exempt organizations, including non-profit health care. This webinar will feature panelists who will advocate for utilizing IRA incentives.
